VERIFY

We are all familiar with the commandment in verse 17:36 which prohibits us to accept ANYTHING unless we verify it for ourselves using our God given faculties. Everyone who claims to be a Submitter (assuming he/she has come accross the Quran and learnt about the mathematical structure)  has to verify two things; (a) that the Quran is the word of God, and secondly (b) Dr Rashad Khalifa was the messenger of God. The verification process for any individual, however long it takes, can have one of two outcomes. Either the person accepts the Quran as the word of God or rejects it. Similarly a person will either accept Dr Rashad Khalifa as a messenger or rejects him based on the Quran. Not acceptance of Rashad Khalifa as a messenger of God would put an individual in the category of non-believers described in verses 3:82-90. Needless to say we know from the Quran as well as our experience that those who cannot accept the Quran alone have NO ACCESS whatsoever to understanding the Quran.

In the three categories of humans described in the beginning of Sura two; believers, non-believers and the hypocrites; only the believers are given access to understanding the Quran. Verification thus results only in acceptance or rejection.

Acceptance of Dr Rashad Khalifa, as God's messenger of the Covenant, by any person immediately triggers numerous verses together with the commandment, "Obeying the messenger is obeying God" as well as verses 49:1,2; 24:63 and verse 58:12. Now that the messenger of God is not alive obviously verses 49:2, 24:63 and 58:12 do not apply presently. However, the worshippers of God alone who were blessed by God to see, meet and talk to the messenger of God when he was alive were obligated to abide by the commandments in the above referenced verses. The question which follows is a question we can choose to ignore or choose to ponder, "Did God expose to us individuals who did not adhere to the above referenced verses, when Dr Khalifa was alive?"

TRANSLATION

Dr Rashad Khalifa's translation has been published as Authorized English Version. To accept God's authorization of Dr Khalifa's translation as the English version goes back to the verification process discussed above.

This is the utterance of an honorable messenger. Authorized by the Possessor of the Throne, fully supported. He shall be obeyed and TRUSTED. 81:19-21

How does a worshipper or a potential worshipper of God alone use this authorized English version of the Quran? He/she goes through the same steps described above under VERIFICATION. Through the verification process any objective person will come to the conclusion that Dr Khalifa's translation by far exceeds any other translation in correctly portraying the English version of the Quran. Such an individual will accept Dr Khalifa's translation as authorized English version with the knowledge that verification on an individual basis may have to be done for various issues, which arise. For example, I have four translations in my house. I use them to look at certain verses occasionally but rely on Dr Khalifa's authorized translation.

Two editions of the authorized English versions were printed when Dr Khalifa was alive; the second one after Dr Khalifa declared his messengership. An edition was published in March 1992 based on Dr Khalifa's work on revising his translation. Which one does a worshipper of God alone use? The answer is simple - use YOUR judgement and God given instinct.

APPENDICES/FOOTNOTES

We know that Dr Rashad Khalifa, God's messenger of the Covenant, was given the PROOF - 3:84, 4:174, 12:108, 36:69, 38:1, 38:8, 15:1, 15:9, 98:1-4. The majority of the footnotes and the most of the content of the appendices deal with the PROOF. Taking away the footnotes is taking away the PROOF (38:1), embedded in the Quran but revealed to God's messenger. It needs to be pointed out that certain aspects of the proof were given to various believers, but the door to the PROOF was opened to us by God through Dr Rashad Khalifa, God's messenger of the Covenant.

If they reject you, messengers before you have been rejected, even though they brought proofs, the Psalms, and the enlightening scripture. 3:184

A worshipper of God alone KNOWS that the footnotes and the appendices are not part of the Quran. A worshipper of God alone may choose to use the information provided in the footnotes in light of the Quranic verses referred to in the footnotes and appendix and never in lieu of the Quran.

SELF-PROCLAIMED SCHOLARS/s

There are self-proclaimed scholars, who under the banner of "God alone and Quran alone" dwell on what they perceive to be mistakes in the footnotes/appendices and/or text of the English version of the Quran. These scholar/s achieve only one outcome, whether deliberate or not - creating confusion and/or doubt in the minds of others.

They will call upon them, "Were we not with you?" They will answer, "Yes, but you cheated your souls, hesitated, doubted, and became misled by wishful thinking, until GOD's judgment came. You were diverted from GOD by illusions. 57:14

A worshipper of God alone keeps the following verses in mind knowing that neither the authorized English version nor the footnotes/appendices are perfect. The TEST which every human will go through mandates that God will give the disbelievers and the hypocrites every possible excuse NOT to believe.

Even if we sent down to them a physical book, written on paper, and they touched it with their hands, those who disbelieved would have said, "This is no more than clever magic." They also said, "If only an angel could come down with him!" Had we sent an angel, the whole matter would have been terminated, and they would no longer be respited. 6:4-8

Had we sent an angel, we would have sent him in the form of a man, and we would have kept them just as confused as they are confused now. Messengers before you have been ridiculed. It is those who mocked them who suffered the consequences of their ridiculing. 6:9-10

As pointed out above a worshipper of God alone uses the information in the footnotes/appendices in reference to Quranic verses but never in lieu of the verses of the Quran.

SELF-PROCLAIMED SCHOLAR/s & IDOLATRY

Another outcome of the "scholars" pointing out what they claim to be mistakes by the messenger of God AND using fear of falling into idol worship of the messenger; is that they have become idols of those follow them. The individuals who follow "scholars" have made these "scholars" their idols. What an unfortunate satanic trap for those who follow these individuals. These individuals who tend to follow these "scholars" may not know that is has been Satan's trap always - to follow the words of (9:31) humans rather than relying on our INSTINCT/JUDGEMENT; on ourselves; by trusting God only; to follow the words of the Quran. Those who follow these Self-proclaimed scholars or any individuals are well on their way to developing the disease in their hearts described in the Quran (2:9,10).

"Here are our people setting up gods beside Him. If only they could provide any proof to support their stand! Who is more evil than the one who fabricates lies and attributes them to God?" 18:15

INSTINCT

Therefore you shall devote yourself to the religion of strict monotheism. Such is the natural INSTINCT placed into the people by God. Such creation of God will never change. This is the perfect religion, but most people do not know. 30:30

A worshipper of God alone, working on the verification process on his/her own relies only on God for guidance based on the person's God given Instinct.

LANGUAGE IS IRRELEVANT

The worshippers of God alone know based on verse 41:44 that knowledge of Arabic language is irrelevant to understand or better understand the Quran. Yet there are many who choose to rely on those who have the knowledge of Arabic language or "knowledge" as perceived by these unfortunate people.

Have you noted the one whose god is his ego? Consequently, God sends him astray, despite his knowledge, seals his hearing and his mind and places a veil on his eyes. Who can then guide him after such a decision by God? Would you not take heed? 45:23

EXPLANATION

For a worshipper of God alone, going through the verification process, accepting Dr Khalifa as the messenger of the Covenant and accepting Dr Khalifa translation as the authorized English version, will not change this fact - the explanation is done only by God.

No one attains any knowledge, except as He wills. 2:255

As an example God has blessed us with three believers who became worshippers of God alone through the PRODIGY Bulletin Board (1990-91). All of them verified Quranic verses posted on the BB on their own. One of them even refused Dr Khalifa's translation, as he did not want to be prejudiced by Dr Khalifa's translation. However, after becoming a believer this worshipper of God alone quotes verses of the Quran only from Dr Khalifa's translation.

DESERTED THE QURAN

"My people" in the following verse can be taken broadly as the Muslim community or in a very narrow sense the community, which received the purified message through God's messenger of the Covenant.

The day will come when the transgressor will bite his hands (in anguish) and say, "Alas, I wish I had followed the path with the messenger. "Alas, woe to me, I wish I did not take that person as a friend. "He has led me away from the message after it came to me. Indeed, the devil lets down his human victims." The messenger said, "My Lord, my people have deserted this Quran." 25:27-30

HYPOCRITES

When they are told, "Believe like the people who believed," they say, "Shall we believe like the fools who believed?" In fact, it is they who are fools, but they do not know. 2:13

Please look at verse 2:8-13

EGO

Recall that Moses said to his people, "O my people, you have wronged your souls by worshiping the calf. You must repent to your Creator. You shall kill your egos. This is better for you in the sight of your Creator." He did redeem you. He is the Redeemer, Most Merciful. 2:54

A good example has been set for you by Abraham and those with him. They said to their people, "We disown you and the idols that you worship besides God. We denounce you, and you will see nothing from us except animosity and hatred until you believe in God alone. 60:4

Praise be to God, Lord of the Universe
